Greendale Farm Shop is powered by clean, renewable energy, thanks to the Greendale Group’s Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant, Willowglen. The plant uses cattle dung, organic matter and rainwater, from Greendale farmland and farm buildings, to produce biogas, which in turn creates electricity to power the Farm Shop.
The local community is really important to Greendale Farm Shop, which is well placed to offer much more than a shopping and dining experience. The Farm and Tractor trails remain free to access, making them popular with local families, with a regular weekly parkrun and charity car boot sales available to all.
Greendale Farm Shop aims to sell sustainably-sourced meat, fish and local produce, providing unrivalled choice while also supporting the local community and helping to keep food miles to a minimum.
