Welcome

From its beginnings as a farming enterprise established by the Carter family more than 150 years ago, the Greendale Group now comprises a selection of diverse businesses with a successful offering that aims to meet the needs of today’s changing world. As well as its farming operation and popular Farm Shop, the Greendale Group has six other lines of business; Waterdance Fishing, Greendale Living, Greendale Business Park, Greendale Haulage, Exmouth Marina and Greendale Leisure.

Fishing

Waterdance, Greendale’s fishing company, owns and operates over 20 well-maintained boats, each based around the South-West coastline. A team of 15 shore staff work in conjunction with over 100 skilled ocean-going crew members to keep the diverse fishing operations running smoothly and safely. Waterdance boats supply Greendale Farm Shop and the fish markets in Brixham and Newlyn with freshly caught fish on a daily basis.

Fresh Produce

At Greendale we understand that the provenance of the food we sell is important to our customers; happily, our farmland and fishing fleet afford us the unique ability to produce our own meat and catch our own fish, all of it directly traceable either to our farm, our fishing boats, or (if we can’t produce or catch it ourselves) to one of our trusted local suppliers.

Business

Comprising over 1,800,000 square feet of existing industrial units and secure open storage, the Greendale Business Park hosts a diverse collection of tenants, from leading multi-national logistics companies to thriving local SMEs.

Farming

Owned and operated by the same family for more than 150 years, the farming enterprise now known as Greendale Farming  comprises 1,680 acres of land and twelve different revenue-producing departments, including a cattle herd, sheep flock, piggery and free-range egg production. Each department contributes to the ongoing success of Greendale Farm Shop and website; beef, lamb and eggs (as well as honey from on-site hives, cider from the orchard and even pheasant from the farm’s commercial game shoot) are retailed through the shop and online.

Leisure

Exmouth Marina offers pontoon berths, casual and visitor berthing, and berthing for commercial craft. Enjoying a sheltered position in the north-west corner of Lyme Bay, near the mouth of the River Exe, the Marina affords boat owners and keen sailors access to the world-famous Jurassic Coast and the Exe estuary, for superb sailing all year round.
